after getting raven and insight, my new worst enemy is decrep. i lured all the minions away from throne and it wasnt a problem

these guys were fucking me up, i had to tp to heal and almost S/E'd. i was really doubtful and worried about proceeding past them, but it turns out the boss was extra strong/extra fast, so that made sense. singled them out and used taunt to kill them all at the archway leading to throne

minions. im gonna confess here that i actually couldnt take them on in norm and had to lure them to entrance (tricked baal... im sure you guys know). this time i have a beefy merc, cold aura, warcry, and enough cb to deal with them. the raven also let me tank them.
it was still in packs of 2-4 though, still had to single them out. i was lucky the first pack was the boss himself, so i could take him out fast.

with meditation and raven, im pretty much immune to all the bullshit baal does. once you get past his mana burn inferno and that stupid ass freezing wave, he barely does any damage

wow, you got a good roll on that amu; 25 is max (lot of variability, iirc 14 is min) and it's quite rare to get that with an all res prefix. that's endgame amu for a HC player, especially melee.

imo use fal for lionheart armor

thanks for the insight. my intuition told me that much dr meant it was probably end game worthy for me. the res roll is humongous too... ill work towards a lionheart but atm i have no lum rune and no decent armor base

took a crack at den. a 1 hour crack. zombies dont take damage from me. i was delegated to be a wc barb while my merc did the damage with his semi-shit insight.


and we finally managed to single out corpsefire and get my skillpoint.


welp... hell is kind of hard. didnt have any close calls in terms of dying, but here are my issues:

1. i dont do damage
2. monsters swarm a lot more with more nasty boss packs, so i cant really single them out as easily
3. speaking of singling out, howl doesnt seem to work anymore. is there like... a higher chance of howl working on lower lvl monsters?
4. i dont do damage
5. repair costs are getting insane since i have to whack at a zombie for 2 straight minutes before he falls

im not sure if its worth it to claw my way to pits and just start TRYING to run pits/countess, or if i should return to nm to farm for some.. better weapon? iso suggestions. otherwise ill take out bloodraven and save cain later. the damage is just painful atm though.

*edit* im also considering putting more points into warcry for longer stun. its lifesaving, and im tired of spamming it. any other barb players experience this?
