I hope he doesn't, or better yet, I hope he does but he gets killed as he is picking it up.
Unlikely, but a man can always hope!
Oh, you!

Too bad there is not a world record for most NM Meph runs before Hell.
There is! It's 6000 runs and counting

Damn, I thought the 1200 runs I did on my 1.09 zon to find a buriza was insane.
That is a lot of runs to find a Buriza, damn rng!

Best wt i have read in a while. Can't believe you used 3part sigons for so long. I would have used goblins asap and other stuff for sure. Would have done so much different in u'r situation with gear :P
Whats armor merc using? Pretty sure guillaume/any treache/hone sundan amn/shael/shael would be best until u can make obediense and then go gaze/treache/obediense
Ur gear is overkill for hell. Why the fuck waste time on nightmare mephi when u could easily rape hell andy (mephi too) and have way better chance for arreats/gores/hl + other stuff :o
Also would totally use guillaumes instead ik helm at any day (kill speed is just too good with it) :P

I suppose the first thing would be that while I would love to believe that your initial compliment was genuine and not sarcastic, I don't

I'm forced to say thank you by my Canadian blood anyways though, just in case.
As for the 3-piece Sigon's, it made sense at the time. I needed IAS and MF, this 3-piece gave 30% IAS and 50% MF which is better than what else I had at the time. I could have used Steeldriver/Gtoe/Gwrap/Chance guards, but the damage would be less, the frw would be less, and the CB% would be almost cut in half. The steeldriver setup has the potential to gain 20% more MF than the sigon trio, but I opted for faster runs. On top of all of this, I never stated that I was a pro. Maybe there was a better setup I could have used, maybe not... But that setup got me through to where I am now which is all that really matters. If it works, you can't say much bad about it.
For your other suggestions, I really just need to say that while I welcome criticism and advice, please read the WT rules before you try to give either. You suggested Obedience, this WT is "Vanilla" which means no ladder runewords, no access to Obedience. You asked "why the fuck I waste my time", and stated that I should move on to Hell now and hunt for Arreat's + better from Hell Meph/Andy. This WT is Single Pass in Hell, meaning that I can never re-run any area whatsoever, first kill = last kill.
About the merc gear, right now he us using eth Hone Sundan, Gface, and Crowcaw. I have the runes for Treachery but didn't find any base for merc Treachery yet. Also, Crowcaw is the only source of OW on this build right now, and that helps vs Meph when I'm using Ali baba for final hit. If I found a kind of cool base for merc Treachery, I would swap it now... But I don't expect to find one until act 5, maybe I can find a crappy elite base in WSK.
I agree with you that my gear is strong enough for Hell already, but for me D2 is as much about character building and gear acquisition as it is about doing the quests and beating the game. I planned out the build to have Arreat's for numerous reasons, not least of which that Calvin is wearing an Arreat's in my d2jsp avatar. Other reasons include the defensive advantage over Gface for a low life/no defense/no block barbarian, and the fact that I think "Guardian" crown (upgraded arreat's) is cool for HC. I am aware that Gface is the better helm overall, and it's my suggestion to any barbarian for their helm slot... however in this case, for this wt, I am choosing to use Arreat's.
I'm excited to be able to do a single pass/full clear of Hell on a Barbarian in p8. It's difficult to do without some preparation. I know that I'm over-preparing, but I mostly play D2 to kill time at work so why not? Also, the gear I start Hell with will likely be the gear I finish Hell with, so I'd like it to be good because Calvin will not receive any more upgrades.
I hope this answers your questions, but if not then feel free to ask more.
