sorry, i have to start about that socket quest thing again. i think its quite fair this way and this should allow me to participate in future farmathons with my chars (Fabi, Angie, Hannah):

On Hannah i wont use socket quests at all, until i have killed hell baal (on the other 2 chars its too late for that :D ). Then, killing him unlocks unlimited socket quests for uniq and set items only, and 3 socket quests for rares, crafted items and normal items.
BUT: i and my merc, together we may not wear more than 3 items with sockets from the socket quest at a time.
Opinions on that?

My opinion is that using Hero Editor to modify an item is outside of the scope of single player, but its your wt and character so its up to you. There difference is when you enter a farmathon with people who arent modifying items with Hero Editor.

but i want to try different builds on my lvl 90+ chars, and when i got great uniqs on them i want to use them with sockets. as i said, not more than 3 on my merc and me at a time.

for the record I think the restriction you set (no more than 3 on you and merc at a time) makes sense and sounds legit enough. 3 sock quests made more sense in bnet where you pretty much already know the gear you will be using, not so much on single where god knows if you'll even find a shako
