I look forward to seeing how your Hell Meph runs go. Are you planning to run Meph? Are you identifying rare wands? You may find a life tap charges wand that would help out big time.

He's been following his rules to a tee so I'm guessing wands aren't allowed under the 'Only Swords' rule.

I'm going to try defeat Mephisto for the quest but I think he will be tough. Later I might consider re-running him :)
And as Tetu_880 correctly pointed out, I'm not allowed to use anything besides swords.
