It was only my 17th run or something, so I was pretty psyched. I should have done this a long time ago, except I'm still in need of a shield worthy of exile.

I was thinking about it, and with the level 12 life tap of marrowwalk... perhaps 45 seconds is enough? g'face + duress + marrowwalk.... I just don't know... When smiting w/ exile I never even need to use life tap charges normally. Ofc, I'm usually not HC..

I ran her a few more times too, looking for UMs & MALs. I really don't want to cube Lems..

Yea, I know I could. But contrary to what some might believe, everything in this walk has been on-the-level. So forgive me if I don't rush to make exile in a non-elite shield...

I will end up cube-socketing the kurast shield (35 res) and the sacred targe (28 res) I've saved. If the kurast gets 4 then I may likely make it in that. If only the sacred targe gets four then I'll have more thinking to do. Basically I need to figure out what charms I'm bringing into UT, add up what my effective resists will be under conviction, and then figure out if the extra resists on the shield are really needed.

As everyone can gather, I like nice things. They are what this char was created to find. If that is boring to you then it isn't my problem For me the game is about more about items, and less about beating the game / ubers. Therefore I'm not worried about "wasting" time. ofc, I want nice torches. So eventually I'll get impatient too.

i wouldnt waste runes to make an exile in non eth shield, even if its elite. spirit or that kokomal (forgot the name..) shield would get the job done just as good.
butthen agein its up to you. but atleast wait untill your actualy going to ut before maikeing the roll since you can just as well find hoz or something before that.

He also has a plugin that makes him ignore useless posts like this.

Anyway I would gather some better supplies before destroying ubers, the road to it is always better than the destination itself
I also like looking for items / creating items the most of Diablo.
Go for a better base for exile, you will probably hate yourself right after you create it in a crappy shield...

one quick way to tell if you can handle ubers would be to try one of the mini ubers. worst thing that could happen is you waste a d key.

This, you are so lucky with the runes, maybe you find a eth-elite-shield in 2 or 3 days.. who knows?
