Just seeing if a different amount of MF would yield better drops. I did ~25 runs with 150 MF and ~25 runs with 225 MF. Nothing really dropped though.

As far as I understand it more MF equals better chance of magic rare unique and set items dropping within the range of legitimate items. It may roll back to zero at a high integer like lots of stats do in this game but the first roll point would probably be 524288MF or 1048576MF which no Shako is giving you!

MF is a funny thing in D2. It has diminishing returns which, to quote from another website:

It has diminishing returns but every added % still makes it marginally more effective. Removing MF makes it less effective based on that chart as I understand it. I have seen people on here talking about changing your MF slightly if you aren't getting ideal drops but its all RNG and more MF leads to greater likelihood of good drops if you are able to kill at the same speed.

And there is the crux of it. For almost all chars, with the exception of sorcs, they can't wear pure MF equipment to farm cuz kill time is awful and survivability diminishes. I try to find a balance between kill speed and MF. I usually aim to have between 200-250 MF if possible.

During those Edritch runs, I literally just swapped my 3 x PTopaz helm to Gface to speed up runs and test out a different amount of MF.

Gotta m8 Gface will be mine soon enough you'll see, actually wanting that SoE more but it is a crying shame I've found neither yet :'( . What is giving you that decrep? Also are you using Griswold's Valor!?

I'm using a 'Lawbringer' PB on switch. I proc Decrep with 'Lawbringer' then switch back to 'Oath' to finish 'em off. That's not Gris helm, it's a 3 x PTopaz Crown.
