Shields sick, especially for a nm act II find

If I was ANY caster, I'd use this. And I'm tempted to switch from Vengeance to Hammerdin just for this wand.
No, it's not spirit. But I don't have ladder runewords enabled, so its GG to me.

2 things
-not running out of mana is easy af since mana pots exist
-it's 20fcr 38lr
cmon
sorc have much better orbs, pala have much better scepters, fissure druids/trapsin can use leaf and later trapsin have much better claws

for nec it's alright
but anybody can buy a +3sk 2sox wand and put 2tir runes which is about as good, and a few level later, there is White rw

so yeah

first off, light res is important.
second off, I've never found a better scepter (or seen one in my single player games,) I rarely find good orbs ( or staves,) and when playing fissure, I ALWAYS go with a shield - because ranged enemies are my bane. Never thought to use a leaf on a trapsin...but I go kicker 99% of the time w/o trap. Besides, 2 tir runes in a 3 skill 2soc wand - first, have to get the right skill - which can be expensive. Second, what a waste. White would only be better on a Necromancer, it's an amped up version of Maelstrom

And I being lazy, HATE using potions. I tend to die because I'm to lazy to move my fat fingers to the 1-4 keys and get a potion.

Being able to spam skills with lots of mana > few extra damage from +skills.

3hammer scepter -> spend 5min at drognan and you'll get one
same for staves with whatever skill you want


post#305 line#7, read to the end. No white rw at lvl22.


at lvl22, +3 to fb/hammer increases your dmg by 40/50%
+2 to bone lance is +27%dmg

=> for casters that ain't necro, anybody can find better in 5min; for casters that are bone necros, then i guess the mana+maek+lr+fcr kinda makes up for the loss of dmg. So yeah, may be slightly better that the wand you spend 5min to get at drognan. and that, only from lvl22 to whenever you find dol+io

it's ok to post items that are meh but don't come up with stuff like "FOR ANY CASTER" when even for nec imo that's no trophy

Guess we just have different opinions on things.
