ive found confuse just doesnt work on some monsters. i havent found a dim vision wand to play with yet but i have an attract wand. it really rocks to get rid of specific enemies. attract a shaman and let his minions kill him while you lay into them unharmed.
I will think about suing some more necro curses lol.
However I hope, that a couple of levels and the gear upgrade I might eventually get will help out.
