I started hell - but damn, it looked REALLY SCARY. I did quest 1, but dish, a couple of hits and I'm in half hp, gotta go way slower. Might go back eventually to NM to farm maybe Shako, hotspur...

Post #23 was a warning.

Warning was good, ty. But it was EVEN better the following drop in Baal (doing some NM Andy / Baal runs)
Any suggestions on a new shield upgrade? And also; should I go for "Suicide Branch" to upgrade my Spirit? or it's not worth it? (Obviously this is prior to the future Hoto I'm aiming for )

SHAKO! - I switched in few last hits to the MF gear. That was greaaaaat. Upgraded and dropped my Lore.

If your Druid is still equipped with the Ancients' Pledge Large Shield (#11), then give him a Rhyme, Splendor or Sanctuary, depending on rune availability and the need for resistances.

Normal difficulty Drognan in Lut Gholein may sell Bone Shield which may be Socketed (2) suitable for either of the first two.

Nightmare difficulty does not have many Shako capable item drop sources, only two bosses: Nihlathak and Baal, and otherwise the odd chance in Worldstone Keep Level 3 or Throne of Destruction.
Obviously Baal has the better drop odds.

As per the Suicide Branch - it also has 10@ all res, ain't that right? The combo of +1 sk / 50 fcr / 40hp / also 10% increase mana / 10@ res made me think about that weapon instead of my current spirit (would lose +1 sk, but it might be worth it, don't know )
And yeah, I was really lucky to get that Shako. Baal is a friend!

Some rand drops here and there:

I made a random insight - mana was a big problem, so I found a random weapon in the Throne, and I did farm the runes in The Countless. From now on, will be looking for an awesome eth weapon for my merc
