Starting Act2. Here is a summary of my current equipment:



And there are my skills. To be honest I have already regret allocating 3 points to Amplify Damage, but I will still have enough points to finish my build. Golem gets additional life from Mastery so eventually I have to max it. IM is currently at lvl 2 which means it reflects back 225% damage (starting at 200% gaining +25% per level).
The priority in skill allocation will be like: IM > CE > GM > rest



And here you can see my new gloves which I bought immediately after entering Lut Gholein. Good deal. :)

Fun Fact
The fancy partial set bonuses (the green ones) were introduced in Expansion. In Classic sets only get the full set bonuses when they are completed. This means most of the sets which are OP in Expansion (e.g. Sigons full, Angelic combo, 2-piece Death, 2-piece Hsarus etc.) were useless back then.

Easy fight with IM+BG.

Fun Fact
Cold worm had a special “feature” in Classic. Sometimes it gets activated earlier than it should and starts spawning maggots from the moment you entered the level. As a result when you reach it’s cave the room will already be extremely full. This is very annoying for a melee char, but for a caster with AoE it is a bunch of XP.
It is also a fun fact that in 1.00 the little maggots spawning from the eggs also give you XP. So in the future the best XP areas will be the “buggy” ones.



Got the staff.



This is a good example how cool leech rings were before Expansion. Just look at the lvl req. It cold have also spawned with dual leech. :D

Getting amu was no problem with CE.



Some lucky gamble results. I replaced Hotspur with these boots - dual res is better than single.



Of course I will definitely use this from some point, but at the moment I prefer the added mana from cap.

Cellar. This is the place where Bone Shields start to drop which are very good source of money at this point so I can afford more gambling. :)

I almost died here. Summoner has some serious attacks. He constantly kept my golem frozen so I had to rely on my bow.





I had like 4-5 magic Bone Shields drop in Arcane Sanctuary. Easy money.

Before Expansion simplicity affix gave -40 req instead of -30.



Finally here. To be honest I am a bit nervous.



Okay so this is how I am going to do this: the first charge of Duriel is almost lethal. If I hire a merc to take the first hit, I think I will be able to handle the rest of the fight.

Fun Fact
In the early 2000s many HC chars died at Duriel because of the massive lag - they could not see the first blow coming.

Before Expansion Act 2 hirelings did not have auras.

Just as I planned. Waheed took the first charge and died instantly. (R.I.P. etc.) After that my golem was able to stand the hits, and Duriel slowly smashed himself to death.

Just one thing, which I did not mention at the skill distribution. I put one point into Bone Wall, because in a later stage I want to try bonefarming. :)
