Upgraded my Goldwrap to hold more pots

Would come in handy if you don't melee or if you do melee have a switch wep to melee with and use the occy for casting

So I decided to forge forward with the rest of nightmare and kill Baal to test the waters of Hell

I cleared this little cave of "fun", but I'm never going back down there.

Baal didn't put up much of a fight. Merc tanked him and I spammed FO in his direction - the drops were appalling ofc

I decided to do NM cows before moving onto Hell just for the heck of it

FO wasn't getting it done, so I re-spec'd to pure Blizz


I cleared the entire cow level and this was the only mildly interesting drop and even then it's useless to me. No descent runes or white bases or anything. Pretty disappointing.

So I entered hell. I re-spec'd again to FO/FB. I maxed FO and Cold Mastery and put 10 points into Ice Bolt as well. The rest of the points I put into FB with synergies. Both skills feel really weak at this point.

Hell, as it turned out, is quite the little bitch. Everything seems to hit so hard, merc can't tank at all, and I feel like I'm running for my life much more often then I should.

It took me like 20+ minutes just to clear the Blood Moor f f s. Dual Immunes everywhere and stupid Cold Immune zombie dudes. Effing blows.

So I clear the den and this pic pretty much perfectly describes my short experience in hell so far:

I've pretty much forsaken Hazade to being gang raped by Corpsefire's buddy's as I try desperately to bring down the boss before he pretty much 1-shots me. So funny and pathetic at the same time.

I found Blood Ravens hangout and headed into the Mausoleum (lvl 85 area) to try and do a wee bit of farming. Was able to come up with a few things

Will be using this now - was desperate for resists


I made this cuz I found the base + I had the runes for it. Plus, the current 'Insight' Partizan was just not getting it done. Not a terrible roll either

Ok, so this the point to which I have progressed thus far. I have the following goals, strategies, and questions moving forward:

Goals:
1. Find an elite (eth or non-eth) 4os polearm to make 'Insight'. Current 'Insight' is a non-eth Lvl 14 Med Partizan.

2. Find Lem to make 'Treachery' for merc.

3. Make my way to Pits so I can hopefully mf some quality uniques and, the D2 gods willing, some HRs (Ber x 2 plox )

4. Farm NM some more to try and find some more Tal pieces. Kinda surprised the belt and orb haven't dropped yet.

Strategy:
1. I re-stated temporarily to pure Blizz and I've been farming the Mausoleum and Crypt that flank Blood Raven. Both are level 85 areas that usually don't have any Cold Immunes. I'm trying to find my eth or non-eth elite 4os polearm here. Both areas have some super chests as well as weapon and armor racks. Would love to also find a nice eth elite base for the 'Treachery' I am going to build for merc. Currently just have a 3os non-eth Wyrm, nothing special.

2. I'm gonna just basically run through to Black Marsh so I can run Countess. I'll re-roll map until I get a good one. Hoping I can get more then just a Lem out of her. I currently have virtually no mid-level runes (Lem-Mal).

3. Pretty self explanatory. I'm scared to do this though. Hell on p8 is unforgiving.

4. Gonna prob just farm Eldritch, Pindle, Meph, and Andy. Runs take about 3-4 min.

Questions:
- What is a good skill set up to be able to run Pits effectively? I realize with my poor-man gear right now running pits won't be efficient so to speak, but I still feel I should be able to do it. I was thinking maybe Meteorb, but I dunno, not a big fan of meteor and the whole timing thing. I'm open to ideas/suggestions.

- Merc is getting owned hard core at this point. Obv his life is low cuz no 'CtA' yet. His resists are almost maxed as well. Is he just taking a beating from physical damage? He was wearing a Tal helm for the life leech, but that wasn't seemingly doing anything. So I threw on a Rockstopper for the 10% DR and that seems to be helping some. I really need to find that Lem to make him a 'Treachery' for the additional 15% DR from Fade.
