Update:

I just tried to kill Diablo... three times. I get one shotted by his Red Lightning Hose. Nearly died all three times.

Back to farming Act 3. Wish me luck.

Izual and Hephasto were too easy compared to Diablo. I'll be clearing The Chaos Sanctuary along with Travincal, Mephisto and his minions, over and over again until I get 75 lightning resists and an upgraded weapon.

Update: Still have not found a decent weapon upgrade. I haven done about 150 runs. Tried to kill Diablo and almost died again. I need max fire and lightning resist. The Red Lightning Hose is deadly.

Go back and farm Meph, and countess. Get some rares and upgrade those if you have too...

I always like to sock a helm with 2*ral / ort - or other way around, depending on what attack you're more scared of.
I think you can spare the damage from your helm for a while

and after dia you can level a little bit at shenk/eld ;>

Do some countess and upgrade 3 rals -> ort

then make ancients pledge runeword so u get 45 all res shield.

a 3 sock flail/crystal sword with thul, ral, ral/ort/tal and zeal should be able to take care of diablo. Too bad you sold Crushflange (33% crushing blow and 50 fire res) :(

Some runes and gems had to be sacrificed because I ran out of room in my stash.



Nice! This is the perfect upgrade for killing Diablo.

Surprisingly enough the +15 Maximum Damage Helm is more effective than this. Which is too bad because that's a sweet circlet. Not a single wasted affix.

Okay. FINALLY killed Diablo. His Red Lightning Hose skill would 1-shot Alhizeer and 2-shot me, so I used Resist Lightning and avoided it as much as possible. Several belt-full's of potions later and he went down.
