When I said great sword at level 33, I forgot about the stat book quest and also didn't expect to have +5 dex from gear. So, I am able to use great sword at level 31 instead which is cool. These are my stats with a magical 44%ed great sword I shopped in a4.


Shortly after, I came across this beauty while repairing. It's marginally better than my 44ed one, but the cool part is it's black colour!!! Finally, my first cool looking blade.

With a cool looking armor and a cool looking sword, I could no longer abide the skull cap look. I gambled a great helm which is like 10 fire res/12 light res or so. Now I'm looking cool




Hellforge is pretty underwhelming in classic

Lots of gear changes right now! Found this armor at the start of Chaos Sanctuary. It's about the same defense as my other armor, and has 4% less light res... But the shoulders look cooler.

That's where I'm at right now. Level 33 and just entering NM. I'm going to test out NM for a bit, but may end up back in normal farming norm chaos sanc for levels and gear. Really not sure yet. Of course if I am strong enough to run NM Andy, I'll likely do that instead. We will see! Having a blast so far, I love classic barbs.

When I started NM and was gauging my strength, I went back and forth on if I wanted to grind normal CS or not. I did go back and do 1 norm CS run, but in the end decided to just push forward. Haven't had damage problems at all since level 30/whirlwind. But resistances/low life can be an issue. My cold resist started out especially low, so CE monsters were a bit of a worry... But Glenn pressed on! I swapped gear around a bit, but was pretty much always using between 85-125 magic find.

First unique ring from a chest in the Crypt. It's probably definitely all in my mind, but I feel like I often get extra lucky in the crypt/mausoleum when I do them right after blood raven XD
