Do you find yourself not having anywhere near enough damage? I'm in NM A1 right now on my poison necro, and even with about as much +skills gear as you can possibly have at this level,
I still barely do any dmg to most monsters on P8. Sitting at about 2.5k dmg (only level 53), with my poison nova maxed, and almost all of the synergies maxed as well, and I have to nova probably 6-7 times to kill basic white mobs (excluding fallen etc).
I feel like bosses are going to be a nightmare. And yes, I'm using lower resist.
First on nightmare was little hard, untill i get +50 level.
I just start with Lower Resi, than psn and later with ANDY i run little arround. To use poision explosion or corpse explo. And she was easy. But main attack was MERC and golem.
Main problem was on CS on normal with my +31 lvl
It was really long fight. Later i had problems with Nightmare CS also... I had to do a couple of levels up and that it was easier cause dmg was rising a lot.
I really start farming Meph not Andy, cause meph is easier for me. When i finished nightmare and have +70 lvl i made ~400 meph runs. That was long but really easy

To add on to this, just did NM andy, she healed faster than my poison hurt her lol.. only way I could kill her was with my merc, who kept instant dying. Got her after like 10 minutes. Not sure how I can get a lot more dmg right now (54 right now), have a lot of +skills for my level lol, with the correct skills leveled/used. Mid game poison dmg is just so underwhelming. ><

Spirit + Lore + 1necro ammu was not bad with dmg but i had ~2k if i remember on Act 1.
