But things didn't go right. First two tries were amp and being a chicken, I hit tp to redo it. The third try was going so so because two of the Ancients were fire immune (not really good news.) It was going slow....then in a blink of an eye:

yeah, he was doing pretty good too. Had very good res. Bout 2400 life. I really don't know what happened. The mercs life was pretty stable. Was using the beast, so no shield. One change never mentioned in the WT was that I restated for full fireclaw and it was crushing monsters in both Ancient Way and Halls of Pain. I didn't put any points in summon at all because the pelt had summon bear. Also no point in shockwave because the pelt had a point there as well. So all synergies. At least I got to play a full fireclaw for a bit. Was fun with fast kills. But there is the rub, killing Ancient Way was nothing like fighting the Ancients. Previous attempts doing Ancients hadn't been that devastating. Felt like I had room to maneuver. Maybe it was because of the ravens and the vine and the spirit. They helped deflect the attacks.

So I was just about to go over and deal with the thrower when the death message came up. That whorlwind attack is pretty bad without a shield. Probably should have switched to shield and then tried moving over. It was just instantaneous though. Didn't actually start moving yet--just died. Both merc and BoBo were faded too. Just prior to death, I was observing the mercs life go up and down suggesting he was leeching which suggests that the Ancients in that vicinity were decrepified....

Pain. So much effort to keep a Titan alive. Just shows me how good some of you Titan players are. I'm not impervious to bad mistakes either. Actually wondered if in all the preparation I might have come out of form but I've gotten good at refreshing and making sure werebear is not activated as a hotkey choice. I also didn't hear the noise made when one comes out of form but it could have been very brief Is there any way to tell by the life indicator's max life? What does 576 mean? Charms? All I see in the picture is a dead barb.

Going to take a bit of a break and do some RL stuff Thanks for following. Sure do wish I'd separated them. Not sure I had much chance.

Wanted to add that many folks made good observations and I was not deaf to their suggestions. I really appreciate all the help. I did well just getting to hell and was very happy with the build...not the final battle but everything leading up to it.

ancients are really dangerous

So you have reached the clearing at the end of the path

The final battle did not leave this WT cut short, you played both aggressive and patient throughout, always moving in the right directions. Was interesting to watch this uncommon build in action and you lasted well against this ridiculous challenge. Because you survived your earlier attempts I felt confident you returning with fort/beast other upgrades and even fade your odds were much improved. What more honorable place to die then the arreat summit? Those bastards have caught me many times, not off guard but out of the blue just like poor Bobo. The 547 life seems odd, I would guess bear form is canceled when you die unless it works like an aura, I have noticed before on death my bo remains, so if you did not take the ss directly perhaps bear form health timed out, what was your unbuffed health? I don't regretOverall this WT was complete, the badguys get to win sometimes too. Regret to hear you are breaking, going to miss your WT's pics and comments, also i'm going to miss those little airplanes, they were like a rare drop, wouldn't see one for quite awhile, then.. omg a yellow one!
