Never played 1.00 sadly, but your awesome and informative walkthough makes me want to play 1.00

I've read the whole story in the past 30 minutes

Thank you for this great walktrough. I played 1.00 back in 2000 and this wt brought back so many memories. That overfilled room with coldworm. The lethal Flamespike. The countdown after Diablo. All that stuff that isn't there anymore. Maybe I will dig up my old installation CD's and try it out one day.

My disc say 1.03. must have lost the originals all long time go.

Last time I played 1.00, I just found an iso and installed the game with my keys. (that was about 3-4 years ago) I believe it is possible to get 1.00 without the discs.

I'm pretty sure all disks were 1.03. I bought the game exactly on release, and my original disks were 1.03.

I have a set of 1.00 disks, so that's not true.

I found a (not so legal) way of getting v1.00, so I can't really post it here. P.M me if you would like help with that.

After reading the entirety of this amazing WT,
I can barely tell from the back of my childhood memories that i indeed played the 1.00 (and i feel proud of having so) because of a few things i saw in this WT that rang me a bell:

- The sockets slots are aligned to the LEFT
- The maggot boss pre spawning
- Flamespike the Crawler
- Non refreshing Gambling screen
- Duriel's deadly charge *surprise* blow
- the potions for sale were not "infinite"
- the "magic" tab on the vendors
- oh and of course the frenetic volture fhr-locking attacks

i made it bold the ones that somehow hyped me the most
