you wont be able to use a summoner since Skeletons have a capped AR of 2 in normal, 3 in nightmare and 4 in hell. Lol..what were the devs thinking? Also you can make a Iron golem out of a hard-hitting 1h weapon, that could boost your damage as well.

Dont get me wrong , they do excellent dmg...2 sojs/sigon shield/wormskull/3 raise skele/3 mastery wand...like what, +10 all skills? But you are going to need ALOT of gold to gamble for all that.
Probably a breeze in Normal and doable NM but in Hell you will suffer. Greatly.

oh and the glitch where your minions disappear, not being able to go through them..maggot lair/arcane sanc say hi. You cant control them like in Expansion with teleport charges/enigma, they just kinda do their own thing like trash mobs

Exactly. At the end of Act 1 you will already realize that skellies can barely do anything. And you can not control them without teleport (in case of boss fights you can tp up and back to gather them at one point, but they are unable to do damage due to the lack of AR).

FRW on unique boots was broken back then (did not applied). Anyway rare boots were much better in those days.

Fun Fact
I got failed unique Bone Helm because I still keep Wormskull in my stash. This is a great tactics e.g. for Barbarians, if they want to obtain a 5x dura weapon (WW eats durability).
