I have never really made this type of zon before on expansion. I am not sure what a good build would realistically be while entering Hell. The build would need to be able to survive but also have a fair chunk of MF. I have been considering these two builds, please let me know if I am missing something. I have calculated the MF% using the items I already have, plus a 40% roll on War Travs, which I don't have yet. So the MF could end up being +/- 10. At first I was leaning towards build 1 because of the higher survivability, but then I thought that either build would probably get slammed in the same situations. I'm not sure if the extra survivability is enough to actually make a difference, in which case build 2 would be better for the slightly higher DPS and higher MF. I think build 1 is more well-rounded for sure, but these builds only need to take me from act 1 to act 2 Ancient Tunnels (full clearing along the way). So I'm a bit conflicted as to which is better. Do I go for slightly more DPS/MF and just try to be extra extra careful, or do I go for slightly more survivability as an insurance policy?
Build 1:
Helm: Tal Rasha
Ammy: Tal Rasha
Belt: Tal Rasha
Gloves: rare
Rings: Raven/Nagel
Boots: War Travs
Armor: Smoke
Weapon: Lycander's Aim
MF=157
Higher life/mana/resistances/LL/ML
1 frame slower attack speed
Build 2:
Helm: Stealskull
Ammy: MF ammy
Belt: Gwrap
Gloves: rare
Rings: Raven/Nagel
Boots: War travs
Armor: Smoke
Weapon: Lycander's Aim
MF=193
Lower life/mana/resistances/LL/ML
1 frame faster attack speed
I've thought about it a little bit and I think I will go with build 1. I am having a lot of fun on this character so I want to defend against 1 shots as best I can. At the end of the day, playing her is a lot of fun, so if I take a little longer MFing in the Ancient Tunnels due to lower MF/1 frame slower IAS, then that's fine since the gameplay is enjoyable. Anyways, I will potentially find items to grant me a new and improved build after some initial time in AT. I'd really love to be able to find some resistances somewhere besides Smoke, because Skullder's would be so great. Oh, and I may use slightly different gear on and off up until I reach AT. No point in sacrificing survivability for MF in non alvl85 areas.
