If i see the display damage, headstriker should be more powerfull. Oath just gives better armor options so in the long run it will be better i think.

You know, this is a good question and one that I thought about after I made the 'Oath'. I thought to myself: "Shit. Is this somehow worse than upped Headstriker?"

Anecdotally, 'Oath' feels stronger and feels like it's hitting harder, but let's look at some numbers. I'm not the best at maths, but here goes:

Upped Headstriker: 925-2500 (with 100+% DS) = 1850-5000 with each hit

Eth 'Oath' BA: 1550-4900

By that number comparison, Upped Headstriker does win the damage battle. But when you factor in that I can still double my 'Oath' damage from Deadly Strike:

1550-4900 x 2 = 3100-9800

It's fairly clear, at least to me, which weapon to use. Couple that with, as you said, the possibility for different armor choices now, I'm gonna use the 'Oath' for sure. Once I find another Um, I can make a sexy 'Duress' armor. Awesome question, thanks for asking.

Yeah, and the gface will help the oath but not the headstriker on deadly strike. And if you find high lords, oath gets better and better. And gores! That damage to demons is gravy. I like the 14 magic absorb roll too.

Yeah, the damage ceiling, so to speak, for Headstriker was kinda capped out. The more DS pieces I find, like Hilords and Gores like you mentioned, the more powerful 'Oath' will become.

I'm still kinda blown away that I actually found that Zerker base. That sort of stuff happens in other people's WTs that I'm jealous of, but never mine.

For Argonaut, do you find that using the 10 xp anni is preferential to an anni with high stats and res rolls?

Oh,ARgo is so strong that 10 exp is better. I'd use the best anni stats and res for a warrior though. You'll level fast in hell p8 anyways. Your anni is good though. eth BA is so nice for oath. No repairs necessary! How many points in holyshield? What is your smite damage doing clone? You are doing great.

OFC OFC, but I was speaking in terms of equipment he is currently using, no doubt in my mind that Oath will be better when better gear is made/found.

Actually, I was hitting 4 fpa zeal with Headstriker and 'Treachery'. I'll have more options for armors now that I'm using 'Oath'.


I think I will try to farm Dclone a bit just to see if I can get a high anni to roll for me. I think I have 16-17 hard points in HS right now. Each time I level, that's what I'm sinking points into until it's maxed. My smite damage isn't great cuz I'm using an exceptional auric shield (Gilded Shield). The only elite pally shield to drop so far is a low quality Sacred Targe with 8@.
