Unlimited stash is not a part of the game, and was not intended.

Being able to store and retrieve more items than fit in the stash is part of the intended game design. Single player characters have access to open bnet and tcp/ip games. They can mule items between their characters.

I agree that using an unlimited stash takes less time than muling your items between other characters. This does indeed make the game easier, since you progress more in less time. But it doesn't add any functionality that wasn't already possible in the game.

It on par to Andybug in that regard. Both products are possible within the game design.

D2 is my favourite game because it becomes more fun the longer you play it.
An inexperienced player doesn't know about the savage polearm cube recipe.
An inexperienced player doesn't know why crafted blood gloves are so good.
An inexperienced player doesn't know why we spend so much time in Lower Kurast or Pits.
Likewise, an inexperienced player doesn't know about the Andy bug, it's something that people who love D2 learn about by researching the game, and it's part of the charm.

But also the longer you play it, you realize that certain tactics are OP and make the game less fun. Just finding out what the OP tactic is and and using it every time trends towards less fun.

Otherwise, we would just play Blizz sorc every time.
