your pike + your conc do 14.6k according to you (since you say because of amp + ds you do *4 damage)

Your merc vs Baal has a 1/4 damage penalty, because mercenaries in hell only deal 25% of their damage to the boss. So if your merc by miracle hits the highest possible damage everytime and DS, he does 7.3k. Now let's say the 5% ctc amp triggered by miracle, since baal has 50%dr he will be at -50%. So take your damage and do *1.5 = 10.95k.
So in the best case scenario, your merc deals 10.95k to Baal after the first hit of 3.65k.
But your merc doesn't deal the maximum everytime.
It does not hit every time.
It does not proc DS every time.
It does not proc amp on the first hit every time.
Your pike has no IAS so it is slow as well.
Infinity with irsconviction aura has -def so hits more often,is faster and deals more damage with crushing blow, which is far more consisten than your damage.

Now you also say that your pike is good for hc because everyone has chicken. Well if everyone has chicken, no one would stay after getting amp the first hit if you miraculously land the amp, and the amp doesn't affect the first hit even if it procs. On hc you have 1/6 damage penalty and if you face someone with 50%dr, you deal even less damage than to baal. Your max with your pike on a 1shot hit is outclassed by botd and probably outclassed by a headstriker a5 merc too.

your close to right, but you have a few errors
baal does indeed have +50% damage reduced... but when you -100% it still is DOUBLE the damage you would have done when he was at 50%, so its actually x2 and not 1.5 like you said
his max on baal would be 14600 if indeed merc's truely suffer 1/4 penalty (unsure)
no merc deals the maximum everytime. yours could do the minimum same as anyone elses
no setup will proc ds every time, my max is still the max
my pike hits almost the same frame attack speed as ebotd with similar gear with ias (treachery + andys)
crushing blow isn't consistant, and also isn't 100% chance either

even at 1/6 penalty for pvp (which the penalty is ONLY in pvp) - the damage is still 9928 life taken away (unless you have 50% damage reduced it becomes 4964 life taken)




so yea...

If your character has less than 4964 life and has 50% damage reduced... my mercenary can one shot it if it procs amp

The difference between infinity setup and yours is that infinity is more consistant.
A headstriker merc procs ds everytime and can also procs another double damage.
Your setup does 3.33 attacks per second, the infinity one 4.54
Whether it's botd + gface or infinity + andies, the crushing blow has more odds of happening than your ds.
Why would someone amp'd not town on hc? You say it's 1-hit kills but then say they're already ampd lol
If your opponent has 0 dr, less than 4.9k life and you hit the max on your weapon and have ds proc too, sure you can kill, but with a botd setup it would kill with more life

your not taking in account how crazy slow is your weapon
your not taking in account that you have one of the worst armor/helm setup ever saw

you basically have an average pike with amply, not a great deal tbh
you can be proud of it, this does not means it's good
