About an hour later from walking into the the pits of hell.

Forgot diablo shoots lightning out got 1 shot by him good thing this is softcore. After about 20 minutes of running around in circles dodging him he is finally slain!



Notes:
Battle Order and Find Item have been key skils to use.

It's put a few point into Concentrate but each level doesn't really effect it much. I'll wait to max it out until later. The first will be Battle Order.

started Act 5 Last night and my hammer started to break on me finally Good bye awesome hammer of justice.

My Unq polearm broke after Izual. Lets hope Act 5 will bring me something good until then I got this random sword I found.

Haven't played this game solo in years my lack of experience is showing. Time to improve upon it.

Side Note:

Items of note:

Found a +14 all res ammy I probably should be using that instead of the magic find

The hammer with amp damage was such a good find sadly we will be parting ways with it soon.

Found a +14 fire res kiteshield in chaos! Just in time!

A Manald ring dropped from Diablo will post screen shot in next post.

Found field plate. Man this armor looks good on a barbarian.

Maybe the next challenge should be

No armor or only Quilted Armor/ Ghost Armor/ Dusk Shroud and just use full helms and 1-2 weapons

Things of note:

Act 5 drops lots of potions so that helped me so much! Just kept filling my inventory.

Lots of super monsters has been nice for my find item skill.

Even though I'am playing softcore I decided to get a new merc after my old one(s) died.

Took about an hour to clear all of throne and kill baal. The spawns he summoned were harder then he was


My shield broke finally damn had to fight with just my sword. It actually worked out for me since I did more damage


This battle took so long I was frozen forever

Thigns of Note:
So if my Merc dies I need to make a new game in Normal to grab a new Barbarian before I keep going lol

I need to do a restat/reskill. I wasted points in double swing, and then put 1 point in each of the masteries. But i'll save it until later.

Question for my followers:
If I do a restat/reskill should I put the extra 6-8 points into shout? Bash? or Concentrate?

Find Item has kinda become useless as of now. So many potions are being dropped should I keep it or get rid of it?
Don't really have enough magic find or points invested into it for good items to come out of monsters.

A Change on rules?
Not being able using Townportal scroll/book or ID Book is a cool idea when I made this topic in all.... but is more of a time waste if anything since it forces me to backtrack everytime to a waypoint or entrance.

Thoughts on this rule?

He was very easy to kill just kept burning mana fast.


Going to finsh up act 1 and begin act 2. Took a week off work so I can hopefully finish Nightmare and get into Hell mode. I will be posting a lot more screenshots these are actually very fun

Decided to finally get Whirlwind it's only nice since I got the mana leech on my manald otherwise shit... I burn a lot of mana..

respeccing: either go ww or conc, you don't need to put multiple points in both. 1 in zerk. shouldn't need multiple in shout, if anything, it'll be your "put rest of points skill" after maxing everything else you need. if you go with conc, then put your extra skills in bash for synergy bonus. always have 1 in find item. just found a mal the other day in pits from it.
don't re-do rules to make it easier now. live and learn. add/remove/edit rules for your next challenge if you make them.

Not changing anything was just complaining while drunk since I wanted to be lazy.

Got 1 point in all combat skill and mastery then rest in Battle Order and Shout, 1 in find potion and 1 in find item.

At work now but will update some more info when I get home later in the tonight or in morning.
