2 handed is better than 2x 1 handed in classic

As for the 2 hands vs sword/shield question: unfortunately there is no "parry" skill in d2, so blocking is a great way to mitigate damage. More block = Less damage taken = don't die unless you get drunk and walk away from your computer while the game is active

Martel and Lance are better because they have higher damage with the same IAS, and lance has a great range too
