Why am I back in nightmare? I want a knout so badly to make Voice of Reason

The item I quizzed you all on, and no one guessed it! However my plan changed.... I wanted one for my merc in an eth 2h sword like a colossus sword... I even found one... and cubed it 2 sockets

Out of desperation I am trying to make one for myself in an easier to find item. The plan is to use smite to cast frozen orbs powered by conviction

Unfortunately.... a level 13 frozen orb + convic on players 8 doesnt really do much!!!

As you can see I am using FOH ...slowwwwwwly taking enemies down while merc tanks. he does almost no damage unless they are undead, where he does a tiny bit more lol. And I smite with my 'black'flail if there is a dangerous mob

So there are the updates!

using black + gris shield for smite
my GG foh scepter + spirit shield for FOH
+ 1 circlet, +1 chest, and random res ring and neck etc, gets me max res.

Future gear needs for any real hope of progression:

eth elite sword 4 sock, make a voice of reason for merc. I can get 350-400+ ED to demon and undead on that weapon. And most of what I face is demon or undead. Very strong weapon!
Treachery for merc. He already has 2 ias jewel spirit forge armour which is decent. So he hits fast. treachery will make him more tanky
he uses steelskul for ias/leach

items for Castiel:
raven be cool for no freeze while smiting (every one of my chars needs raven grrr)
+2 helm of some sort
hoz would really buff FOH. spirit is decent, and i have a perf spirit in 45 res vortex... but hella STR!!!
lawbringer in a +3 foh scepter could be a nice smite/foh weapon for good foh dmg and sanc aura to knock undead back and decrip since merc wouldnt have it anymore

mostly need that GG merc weapon and then I think I can progress. it will do good dmg to demon/undead and proc the frozen orbs which will be in addition to my FOH. whereas is I am smiting I do no dmg smites getting some orbs off. much better to have me using FOH, holy bolt heal merc, while he does mega dmg with 400% ed to undead weapon and procs orbs.
