Leveling seems extremely slow in 1.00.. How the f were u supposed to hit 99?

Well, theoretically you can do lvl99 in Classic, but practically it would last for years. As far as I know the highest lvl monsters here are Urdars, with lvl82. As you know the game basics, if you are 10 lvl above the monster's lvl, you will stop gaining XP from it. This means that you can gain levels form Urdars till 92. After that the only thing that gives you XP is Diablo (lvl91 I think). So it would take like hundred thousand Dia kills to make 99.

So I wanted to try what happens if I am wearing the set constantly re-equipping one of it's pieces. But nothing happened. Either I got it wrong or the bug occurs only in 1.01/1.02.

IIRC you must die, reequip, die reequip, die reequip.... rinse and repeat until you reach your desired skill level.

A nice WW-barb weapon. Weapon range was very important in Classic, especialy before WW-nerf.

Not so good since all axes have range 1 (rangeradder 0) in the old patches. High range is also very convenient since the network code is so broken causing lots of desynch in the old patches. 1 or 2 missed whirls = out of mana.

HP bar bug again, with Griswold.

Happens when the monster HP exceeds a certain treshold, possibly 65335 (256^2-1). You get some even stranger results when you static a hp wrapped monster.

Warm welcome at the town gate:

These fuckers were the worst enemy for a melee char. Before Expansion these volture-type monsters hit so frequent that 2-3 of them could easily FHR lock you until death.

Another warm welcome by Fangskin & bros.

Gambled this nice pair of gloves.I will use it of course. I miss the 30 MF from the old one, but safety is more important now, and my resists are still very low.
