Probably worth going nightmare to get to tower fast and farm some runes. I mean some easy upgrades there if u can find some bases. Lore helm, Peace armor (tho u maybe need the ias from twitch?), Honor pike/lance/amazonpike, Edge bow for merc(and gamble).
What you think jab vs fend when taking on groups of monsters? vs bosses I guess jab is better?

You should prob put some hard points in strenght and dexterity. I'm pretty sure you will need it coz otherwise you will have to use some pure strenght and dex items.
I mean upgraded Hone sundan is ghostspear (122 str, 163 dex), Matriarchal spear (114 str, 142 dex), Matriarchal pike(132 str, 149 dex) and War pike(165,102).
