Well, you should think more about the melee damage when going to hell because the ds won't have enough dmg as it is. I personally maxed it to the 8 corpse expl radius and used it only for the ce, while focusing on my kick dmg more. Only if you want to max it out should you put in the other synergies but imo you should respec her and try to focus more on the melee. Just some friendly advice, but everyone build his character as it suits them, so what you think is best probably is ;) gl

edit: I'd make that cresent moon for the char, not merc :)

i don't think the -lr would apply, as the traps are considered minions, just like RBF don't apply to traps.


I assume the duress would be for your char until you were able to find the lem & base required for treachery, at which point it would be moved over to your merc? That would probably be a good bet. If your merc is currently relying on cb / ow to help you out, then the base isn't as important as it would be for a damage runeword like CM.

Also, unless you were to pound points into venom (20 hard points), not sure how you would focus more on kicks... iand you get a 'free' 15 pts there with treachery. 'd consider bumping your trap damage via synergies, as they will be your main form of damage for all but light immunes.

Thanks. I'll definately be focusing more on kicks when I get to hell. Hoping to get lem for treachery for the big Venom. Oh, and like bombar1 said -res doens't apply to my traps so it wouldn't really be ideal. Sure the static would be cool but my merc can do the same with it ;)

Yes that's the plan. Duress now and if/when I get lem then give the duress for my merc. He will love it too! :P

Unique Venom Lord almost 1-hitted me so I had to save & exit :wacko: Merc dies instantly so it's very slow work with my Master (who also dies pretty much to 1 hit).

Honestly it was a bit easier than I expected. Sure he deals lots of damage but my CB worked very well. Visited town just once to refill my belt :)
Trash for drops ofcourse...

Oh wait, the Hawkmail has 2 higher defence than my mercs current one! <_<

Rare Battle Scythe socketed with Ral:

20% ias
96% ed (35-88 total damage)
5-30 fire damage (ral)
100 poison damage
5% LL


Haven't been able to find good base for runewords.


Pretty cool. Shame no res :/

Also found 3 soc bp but I think I'll wait for a higher defence armor for the duress.

My honest opinion, just make the duress asap. The differences in defense will be pretty negligible since you aren't a pally or barb :P

It's going to his merc later, though.
And since he seems fine using whatever he has now, I don't see the rush of not waiting for a better base--even if it is a 3soc mesh armor that he ends up settling on.
I mean, I don't think he'll be getting a ton of Um runes in this run; and I'd be mad if an eth 3 soc thresher drops 5 minutes after making the duress in something weak. :P
