I had my doubts, but after using Ulf to progress a bit I am totally sold on the Act 5 merc with Lawbringer. It's like 80% of the safety of a holy freeze merc with 90% of the damage of a might merc, incredible. Here we are beating the shit out of Pitspawn Fouldog.



Andy went down easily even with my shitty poison resistance. With the quest drop bug Hell Andy has an enormously higher chance to drop Raven than NM Meph, so this will definitely be my spot to farm for one once I find an armor to replace Duriel's Shell.

Lawbringer helped a ton in the Sewers. Radament down for the last time.



I have so much MDR from Gaze + String + Dwarf these beetles do zero damage to me, pretty nice.

Ok, Fangskin was freaking scary. As you can see here he teleported behind me so I was surrounded by snakes, Ulf died, and suddenly my life bar was shooting up and down super quick as I leeched back the damage I was taking. Very risky encounter, I should have taken it more slowly.

Managed to grab the amulet though.

Super easy fight tbh. Didn't use a single potion.

One time I was playing a summoner necro and I got a shako from Hell Duriel's quest drop, other than that I don't think he's ever dropped me anything useful.

Stormtree, guardian of the LK super chests, has been defeated. You know what that means...

It's LK time!!! I have never made it this far in hardcore, so I will definitely take my time and farm for as much nice gear as I possibly can to ensure that I finish this walk without dying. At a minimum I want to make CTA and either a Grief phase blade or a Death zerker. If I make Grief then I will make a Prudence armor, and if I make Death then I will wear Treachery, just depends on what runes and bases I find.



My initial map roll is actually pretty good--two campfires, I can hit them running left to right, and lots of poppables in between.



The charm upgrades begin! This replaced a crappy SC with less than 5% cold resist.
