BoBo thinks your bear might be a real bear that shapechanges to human and can't quite grasp the usefulness of shield....

I have a question at the end of this segment. But first, the finds that bring about the question:

So earlier, I'd run past some superior balrog armor on an armor rack. Went back to look at it:


It's good! But needs socket quest.

So, the question:

Should I make COH in balrog? or Make Beast in unfound 2 handed weapon ... say Champion Axe or Glorious Axe? Seems like Obedience thresher or Giant Thresher would be a great weapon for fireclaw bear. But the amazing Beast has +3 Werebear and more importantly, +3 Lycanthropy. Love the 40 ias on Beast and the Fanat ofc. Even has bear summons level 15.
Using Smoke duskshroud. I'd thought maybe make treachery armor to go with Obedience thresher for IAS boost. But if I go COH, then Obedience Thresher will be slower...no so great on Bears.... Fort and Beast would be monster combo? Any thoughts? BoBoBear is very lucky Bear.

very very little off weapon ias counts for shapeshifted characters. that would make obedience pretty crappy for you to use sadly

the coh is going to give you a lot of very nice boosts, no doubt. if you look at what beast gives though, you would get a lot more damage output in the end. beast champ axe + 5% ias offweapon (so bloodfists) gives you 6 fpa attack.

with glorious axe beast + 20 offweapon ias, you'd be at 9 frame attack. if you could manage 65 offweapon ias you'd hit 8 frame

your screenshots are somewhat painful to look at, are you expanding the size of them? if you just open them in paint and click resize and enter 800x600 it will look a lot nicer.

I play in window's mode and increase the size of the window. Do you have a way to improve it? I use a Mac but the game is on the pc side of the mac using bootcamp. I think I have the right settings. Looks clear to me but I see screenshots that look awesome. Really would like to hear of a fix--thanks ahead of time



Thanks for that. It seems true. I put the info in the ias calc and weapon speed is really important. Using a 30ias helm a d 20ias glove and there is no difference on the PB lawbringer not using the glove....moving up to 30ias on glove helps though. Using a treachery would give fade and +40ias...that's big. I really feel as you do, beast would be beast on this guy with Champ Axe. Just don't see many. Would like to try Obedience on the big bosses...like meph. Decrepify him and then give him some push and pull treatment allowed by a good thresher I still have Ber. Just found Mal:

So, finally ran through the entrance to the Durance 1 to find durance 2 wp:


WP is way south and west! Durance 3 is a bit ahead. Dolls and zombies and maulers. Kind of tough. Had to stay out of big frays because couldn't see the dolls very well.

Two holyshocker baddies. Breme is just bad. Only BoBoBear's fireclaw hurt that nasty thing. Fortunately, the fire res and dwarf are keeping the old bear alive.
Once decrepify processes, merc usually leeches. Gulzar does well when BoBo fights...somehow he lives through this phyz immune guy.

Like clearing the south west of Meph and luring Meph down. Easier to see and no dark lords to worry about.

Poison really hurt. Drank antidotes and thaws too. Things were usually smooth until decrepify wore off... at that point, meph seemed vengeful:


It's all junk. green ammy is the one with 40 regen mana.... other things were sellables.
