I tried the nova now with the mercs conviction aura. It is way too weak at the moment. I would probably need Coh, griffon, +2 amu, soj, anni and skillers for it to be effective or well atleast another +6-7 skills.

I think that I will go for max @ orb, 1 point in synergies + CM, rest into Nova, lightning mastery, lightning and then rest @ chain lightning. I think I will be able to kill the few light immus with the frozen orb

Yeah I think I will go for that. And go back to Orb/Nova as soon as I find very nice gear.
