Probably level 8 valk, decoy to tank, and that open wounds plate mail + emerald bow vs dual immune that I can’t just skip 🤷‍♂️

TYVM for the advice. I would prefer FA/Strafe but I also find it hard to imagine that I could ever find good enough gear for it... the bow alone seems impossible to find even in years of time haha... so I’ll probably go with fa/immo/lvl 8 valk and just hope it works... if not I’ll have one more restat tontry fa/max valk or to wait until I find a good gothic, if ever!

I don’t think I’ll find a bow good enough for strafe tbh. Hopefully I can get through with immo arrow and a half ass valk

Immo + valk should work. best bow finding would be gambling and holy shit that would be boring, then u have a 50% chance of getting godly stats on a normal base....

Haha yeah... Grrr... Well here is my plan for skills going into Hell. I would need to be level 71 + do Hell Den. But anyways, here's the idea for entry-to-hell build:

This is assuming I will have +2 skills (Tarnhelm and +1/pris ammy... I will use Silks sometimes if I find it but I don't want to skill around it since I may use Gskin sometimes or Boneflesh vs double immunes)

It is likely that all remaining points would go to Exploding arrow as a synergy... This would give me around 850+ damage Immolation Arrow at level 80, and 1k+ by level 85. I could hit level 85 in Act 3 Hell with a bit of patience if I wanted to buff before A4.

Items I don't know much yet... I want Tarnhelm and a +1/prismatic amulet... Goldskin or Silks of the Victor or a nice rare are all options for armor. Boneflesh vs dual immunes. Other than that, I don't know! I guess rares with resistances/mana, a 30%+ Wizendraw... If I somehow found a +2/150+ed Gothic I'd obviously swap over to FA/Strafe right away.

e: unless there is anyone out there who wants to make a case for FA/Max Valk instead of this build

Just for comparison sake, the Valk build would look something like this... Passives slightly buffed, Valk able to tank anything in the game at this point... Just wondering how her damage would be with a Lance.. :/ I could help out by shooting stuff with Boneflesh on as a form of prevent monster heal + some damage (open wounds). I would maybe need to stat Crit Strike a little more to help out Valk damage too. I guess Valk uses my base level crit strike, which means I'd want at least a few base to it.

So... Which build?!

Cold + Immo. What good is your tank if neither your tank nor you can hurt the monster?

I’d go with Freezing + Valkyrie, but you’d need to stat hard points in Critical Strike as it uses the base level. I think you have more chances of running into a fire+cold immune than a cold+physical immune. Worst case you make a run for it. In your first scenario your Valk and Decoy wouldn’t serve their purpose of tanking in the late game, you’d be chugging mana pots like crazy just to re-cast Valks.

Interesting thoughts... Making it harder for me to decide, not easier!!! At the end of the day, I have two restats left so I could try both. If my plan is to try both, I'd probably go max Valk route first because it'd be safer, I feel like I'd have to try to just run past most CI packs though which could get quite dangerous as well... If that does end up being not possible for me and grinds to a halt at some point, I could swap to FA/Immo as my last effort. It'd be nice to be able to rush to Queen title if possible... would be nicer than granding for 6 months to find a godly gothic bow.

Any other thoughts on FA/Immo vs FA/Valk ?! I'm trying to think of any areas in the game where I simply would not be able to pass-by the CIs and would be forced to fight them, and if Valk would be able to handle it. I'm thinking Hell Tombs could be so shit as FA/Valk ...

I'd go fire/cold. You'll need more than a few points to make her gg and one point that was not mentiioned was the fact that you can decide what you kill with immo, valk just goes for whatever is close.

I just did some testing in Hell p8. I wish I could more easily reach 85~ before Hell or have access to more +skills haha... damn classic.

Basically points from both sides are correct. Level 8 Valk does not tank well in Hell... but Valk with Lance also is not enough damage for p8.

Going to need to hope Immolation arrow will be enough to drag me through vs CIs and be extra careful due to a fragile Valk. If Immo arrow won't do it for me, I'll have to accept the fact that I'm going to need to grind for a long long time to find a proper bow!

About to spend the next 10 levels in NM Chaos Sanctuary. Hopefully I can find some upgrades in that time. If not, I'll probably have to hunker down for some NM Andy or maybe NM Cow runs (or both). Thought I'd do a full gear update at the beginning of NM CS runs.

:D

Will swap this to a 3x ptopaz helm as soon as I can.

Once I swap Tancred's helm for a 3x ptopaz helm, I'll swap this for an MF ammy.

And that's it! Wish me luck in the coming CS runs... I'm hoping to find a bunch of upgrades while leveling so I don't have to go back for MF runs
e/ think I might throw cows in there too!! Looks like NM cows and NM CS are both alvl 53 on classic... why not run both!
