Ofc mf has nth to do with rune drops, but there is a big difference wether u twink ur rushed ladder char with traded stuff and start mf via hell csing immediately
or start sp without anything

I started my walkthrough at NM baal, so I'm not sure what your point is.

EDIT: But yeah, it took 4-5 days from act 1 normal to act 5 nightmare. It's quick, you think, or what?

/players 8 is pretty epic for drops tbh.... I recommend you make a lvl 30 char with no eq, start killing stuff on /players 8, and you will be surprised at what you find when you start getting flawless topaz in helms etc - /players 8 is badass for runes aswell.

I understand your point - and am also jealous, i had no luck like this 6 years ago when I was MFing 8 hours a fuckin day - but still enjoying this guide because vex is not that high a rune to drop. Ohm is a bit jammy - but vex's are not that uncommon if you MF hard. And areas matter aswell - personally, i never bothered with LK runs until this year

I used to play /p8 always and i know da supachests and stuff.
Got most of my better runes in arcane and cs/river, but happened very very rarely.
Yep, u can be lucky, but still in 1.13 hrs arent a dime a dozen as many guys wanna make believe

hrs are fucking common these days, anyone who has ever botted in 1.13 would know this. turn on ur bot for 8 hours, and u have a hr or 2.

now mfing on /p8 , hrs should be even easier to find. nothin fishy here imo.

The HRs found all came during a few days of about 12-16 hours incessant trav / shenk runs, with a bunch of chaos runs thrown in for good measure. Each run would only take a couple mins (not chaos, obv.), and I eventually stopped picking up items to sell. I'd only pick up a few things if they were small. I basically leveled from 87(or less?) to 92 doing almost nothing else.

I too always thought HRs were impossible to find, until I found a few in the last couple ladders. My first HR ever was an Ohm from a misshappen in the catacombs with my strafeazon. I was lusting after a Faith at the time, and had been saving crazy crafting supplies to trade for HRs.. That other popular trading website doesn't' have FG, so crafting supplies often become the easiest currency. I traded ~ 20 caster sets, 10 blood sets, and an ist or two for my first jah, near end of ladder.. Then, pissed because I had never experienced end-of-ladder, I decided to make a hammerdin instead. With him I found a few more, but wasn't even dedicated to it. I mostly ran for d-keys with him and a natures peace. Once I found the pattern to Nilatheks temple, d-keys (and torches) are easier loot ..

When I did want to find HRs I would always look for full games, then run big open areas in A1 for Guls / Ists hopefully, and Trav. If it was a baal run I'd try to solo chaos in the same amount of time. Id usually only get two seals done though.

The point of all this is that single player, you can just /players 8. So it is the best fit for me.

Anyway, I'm doing my best to ignore. In some ways I have had timely drops. In others I've had to grind but it isn't obvious because I'm posting all the shots after the fact, and since I like grinding, I don't complain about it, or even really remember how long I actually did search. The 4os NORMAL eth pole dropped quickly in a1 NM, but I did actually ran bishibosh and his surrounds for ~ 5-6 hours for the 4os sword. For me that isn't a long grind so I didn't mention the exact interval.

At this point in the story, I still had not have completed the Nilathek quest.

Yes, I am deathly afraid of CE. My many runs in full games for d-keys during ladder taught me that. I quickly learned to not run for d-keys unless merc was dead.

Well, I though that with enough caution and use of redemption, that perhaps I could defeat Nilathek safely on /p8.

I was almost right.. it wasn't exactly safe. Maybe my redemption missed a corpse or two. I think one CE took out more than I could have safely absorbed without BO. FULL juvs to the rescue.

I got him in the end, but I'm ISO a strategy for running him for d-keys. Without natures peace I may have to complete my smiting gear, have trav kill merc off, and only then go in, targeting only nil. Or maybe make lawbringer in a nice eth elite sword and go back to norm and hire an A5 merc and play passively Dunno, open to ideas!

Back to MFin in WSK and chaos, still level 92:

I didn't save an imbue. I may run another char just for the imbue on this, then roll it with the pSkulls I've been saving. I have almost 60 I think



At best I just usually want Lister to die. See how backed up I am from the throne! This time he did me one better and gave me a really good option for UT.



So with the gear coming into focus, (but still a-ways away, see ISO list from pages back), I wanted to run some keys. I have plenty of T keys, as mostly they came in from barb, but this guy found at least one or two too. But I had no H (or D, obviously). Time to run H keys! I don't know how long these took to find exactly. They aren't that rare. By this point in the walk I am also pretty sleep-deprived.
