Plot Twist: Act 5 merc is much better than expected. He owns.

try to get a obedience, they are quite cheap to make, hel ko thul eth fal, 40%cb, resist, stats and 370%ed

I thought about it, but I have used that on nearly every walk I've done on this forum. If worse comes to worst, I might try and make one (we all know my luck with finding the right polearm). Until that day comes I will be trying to use odd runewords or combinations of items to progress.

he does decent versus meph as well. Much better survival than my old act 2 merc





I would guess I have done close to 50 Andy runs at this point. This is the first noteworthy drop I recall.

made it to hell using stealth that was created during act 1 of Normal :blush:


MY gear is coming together nicely, but my merc is still lacking. I would like to try and make a lawbringer (or some other sword runeword) for him, a treachery, and guilames or Vamp/rockstopper.

Updated Goals:

Find a merc helm. Goal: Guillames/Vamp Gaze/Rockstopper

Find a 3 socket armor (prefer eth) and find a Lem for treachery

Find a 3 socket sword with high speed/base damage for Lawbringer.

--> go to hell!

I'm like 400+ runs deep both Andy + meph and i can't even dream of Vipermagi yet, only thing that is keeping me away from opening those hell gates though :D
Your luck isn't that bad either :P
