NM Arcane Sanctuary clear


There's nothing for it. My stash and cube are completely full, and I have barely any room in inventory. I headed back to normal Countess to get the El, Ith, and Tir I needed to make the Honor Lance for merc and free up some space in inventory.

I got the runes fairly quickly, and used 3/4 of my 15% ias jewels in a 3os ring mail for merc. This freed up even more space, and also allowed him to hit the 54% IAS bp with lance, since his Stealskull helm also has 10% ias. This should allow him to take care of most CI in nightmare, at least I hope. Still not ready to abandon Blessed Aim merc for a Might one. The AR% added from Freezing Arrow is glitched, and Freezing Arrow actually uses normal arrow attack rating :'( So my attack rating without Blessed Aim is atrocious, despite what char screen says.


NM Canyon of the Magi clear


NM TRT 1 clear.

Saw these while I was shopping for some magical chain gloves to craft with. Replaced my stashed 33%mf/9% psn res boots with these ones.


These would have been so awesome if I hadn't made a +2 passive and magic skills pair already. As it is, I'll keep my +2pm pair.


SHEESH. This would have been so awesome with 3os for Melody. Would have made a +5 bow skills bow. Melody really doesn't do anything for my physical side at all though.

NM TRT 2 clear. This ended up being the correct tomb, so I'll be back.

Amulet craft attempt based on crafting supplies I had.

I have a couple more sets of Amn Ral Perfect Amethyst sets, and I've been waiting for either an exceptional amazon bow, or a normal amazon bow with +2 bow skills to use them on. This is the first "worthy" bow I've found!


...But it didn't pan out unfortunately.

Another failed set of gloves. I'll probably stop taking pictures of crafting fails at this point and only post ones that are in some way interesting.


This was a pretty nice charm to find with the Duriel fight imminent. Also, it should be useful if I decide to do Mephisto runs. I'd love to enter Hell with Lycander's aim or Melody on one swap, and Buriza on the other swap. This should give me good enough damage I'd hope. Not sure if I'll run Mephisto, Diablo, Baal, or all 3.

The Duriel fight sure was a pain, at least at first. The guy has 75% cold res after all, and 99.9% of my damage is cold damage.


After a minute I remembered that I had Swordback Hold shield on swap (50% open wounds), so that helped quite a bit with damage. My new strategy was to spam Decoy/Valk and try to make quick weapon swaps before my arrows landed so they would apply open wounds. It still took quite some time, but wasn't too bad. I believe the fight lasted around 8 minutes or so.

Act 3! Bring on the LK runs for a Ko rune! That was the plan all along, but I'm wondering if I really need it now.


Stats with Skystrike.

This is where I am at now. The beginning of act 3 and wearing Skystrike. The 25% extra pierce on Stormstrike really helped, so I'll need to add some extra points to the Pierce skill to try and make up for it. Overall, this is a better bow though. If this bow can continue to carry me through NM without noticeable damage issues, I may skip the Ko rune hunt in LK. Like I said earlier, my ultimate goal for NM would probably be to farm Lycander's Aim + Buriza anyways, so there's no need to hang around LK to make a Melody if it's not needed. I am thinking/hoping that Lycander's aim for FA side and Buriza for physical side will be enough damage to reach and farm Hell Ancient Tunnels for the full Mav's set. For now, I'll push as far as I comfortably can with Skystrike and farm either Meph, Diablo, Baal, or a combo of any of those for the items I want.

Also, now that Freezing arrow and Ice arrow are maxed, I'm just kind of splitting points between Pierce and Penetrate at the moment. As I said earlier, the attack rating bonus on Freezing Arrow is glitched; it doesn't actually apply and FA uses normal arrow attack rating. So I'm going to need a ton of points to Penetrate, possibly maxing it. I'm not really sure how I want to allocate my points to be honest, I need a little bit in everything and a lot of +skills. Maxed Ice arrow and Freezing arrow are a given, but I also need points in Strafe, Multishot, Penetrate, Pierce, and Valkyrie. I'll probably just use level 1 Critical Strike (even though I already added 5 to it). As of right now, I really am not sure how I'm going to allocate them. I would love to find a bunch of bow and/or passive skill GCs obviously. Going to need some for sure.
