really, LucAA? 1,000 cows per run with 10 seconds to get the leg vs a run only for a small pack? your posts in the last few days are really :bonk:

I run CS often, I’d say you can realistically encounter something like 7-8 packs of Finger Mages from WP to Seal and the Vizier pack is 11 and Vizier himself has slightly better a drop chance (1:1.4m IIRC). You can clear that in ~1 minute. Can’t really comment on packs per minute in Flayer Dungeon as I’m only worried about XP. Nihlthak also has virtually the same drop rate as Hephisto (1:530k~) and you can kill him in sub 25s with a geared Lightning Sorc. It’s much more dangerous, though.

350-450? (highly inconsistent)
If you do the math and consider the factors (chance at dropping comparatively and time spent per mob) it’s actually pretty close. Cows are definitely a very good way (relatively speaking) to get Zod but my point is that there are other options.

With the odds we’re talking about you might as well just do a full clear of Hell straight through every game to reduce the 5 seconds it takes to save and exit. Just kill it all!!!

All other monster types that are capable of dropping Zod have a considerably worse probability (1:6.7m). All monsters above are Wraith, Finger Mage, or Souls. IMO Souls are too inconsistent spawning to farm reliably.

I’d say rolling a map for one of the Act 5 spots or Flayer Dungeon with WP close or CS and only hitting Finger Mages would be the best bet for specifically farming Zod. Also worth noting that these are from a dro calculator that is out of date and rune drop rates have been increased across the board IIRC. You could be looking at as low as (lmao) 1:1.5m for the previously mentioned monsters.

E: if the Wraiths in the Act 5 spots are “guest” monsters they’re probably too inconsistent to farm as well. Haven’t really frequented those spots personally so can’t say.


As others been saying. Inconsistent ghosts isn't worth farming for, way better with cows. And I can also kill tons of cows very very quickly, don't have to search for them at all. I only need to kill cows 2.4x faster to be worth it

Probably won't stack tomes though. When I farmed CK set on Lute it was super boring to stack tomes and legs. Guess I need the small break between each run if I'm going to do that many runs

Chaos is good, mostly for the free drops when popping seals. Don't think I'll do it though
