Decided to go back to nightmare and farm some GG gear. Here is what I need:

Armor - something better than stealth...vmagi #1 right now, "bone" runeword if i;m lucky enough to get another UM (which is never gonna happen).

Shield - Been using the same thing since normal. I need to make a splendor, rhyme, or find a lidless wall

Boots - infernostrides or aldurs, or tri res boots if i'm lucky

Merc helm - tal mask for survivability

Merc weapon - something stronger, he does 1.3k tops now.

Would have preferred a raven frost, but this can be useful in some situations (running council for example)

OK i found a rack that drops grim shields when no monsters are near, demonhide boots when monsters are close. Im thinking lidless wall and infernostrides

Well none of the superuniques wanted to drop anything useful for me, so I decided to change my strategy. I'm going to farm tal rashas tombs. I use this trick on bnet to find runes because the monster density is so huge in here. I hope something good will drop.

Here's a super unique that is extremely well hidden.



Well that's enough farming the tombs. Going to run the worldstone keeps for items but mostly for XP. I'd like to be at 80 before moving on to hell again.

WHAT?? I can't believe this...I died...I was at full health and bone armor and merc was tanking a bosspack of black lancers. And I got one shotted. I don't understand how it';s possible. I died in one hit. How can that happen? I had over 1200 hit points with life plus bone armor. I wasn't even close to the pack, they were around the corner. there was onle 1 black lancer near me. The only thing I can think of is that the boss pack had extra strong extra fast mod with an aura and cold damage. That can easily stack up to 1k damage plus my low cold resist added more. sigh. My motivation is shot now. I dont know what to do.





If anyone has any feedback for me please let me know. I don't know what major changes I would make. This death really wasn't fair. It was a one hit wonder, and there was nothing I could do. Some things I would do differently next time (that aren't critical, but I should anyway)

* Improve the base of stealth armor. I could have used a mage plate or cuirass but I was too cheap to use a TAL rune. Higher armor rating might have saved me over a breast plate

* I was OK in hell, I would have just continued instead of going back to level. I could have gotten to countess and farmed her.

* Don't fight black lancers. It was the first time I ran into them other than in act 1, and the act 5 versions are much much tougher.

Could have been but i had literally come back from town and was off to the side. merc was taking most of the heat, i just had a minion run up to me and one shot me.
