Try slow for your Merc to survive bosses
Cold damage/Blackhorn's/Kelpie Snare all good options, or you can farm NM LK for Lem and make Lawbringer.

Bosses get insane bonus % damage to mercs so % damage reduction does practically nothing.

lawbringer i'd lose HF+Medi
kelpie already tried dmg is no, leech is no
you forgot the only good option = more dmg so the battle is shorter

I'm assuming you have Static Field? Merc damage shouldn't be an issue...
You have potions for mana.
If you want to keep your Merc alive, slow is the best option.
Kelpie + Blackhorn's is 95% slow LOL.
Decrepify is actually so much better than HF. Sure if you can get Reaper's and keep HF that's even better but it's not approachable in NM..
Bosses get 10x damage vs mercs. If you use 50% DR on your Merc he takes 950% damage instead of 1000%

Kelpie + HF > Lawbringer though, then can use Len for treachery
