I see this statement alot in response to this guide.

One thing everyone has to keep in mind is that this guide was writen from the standpoint that you just plunked down your $40 for the game and are starting out with nothing. Kinda like the ladder reset. Since hammerdins require a moderate investment to get them going, one could not go around MFing with a damn din.

must say i do like your guide but that statement is absolute crap

i started off this ladder with a hamdin...takes about 4 hours then you got 2 spirits + stealth arm = 75fcr bp +4 sk +meni res + 110 fhr etc

low cost hammerdins are an easy possibility even for beginners...i wont say its an easy char to play without eni but please dont make statements like that...a hammerdin is easily mf capable without eni or a high investment (travruns, pits, cs are all possible without teleport...running with vigor is faster anyways)

OK, however your statement proved my point. The bolded part is what I am refering to. Hammerdins are kinda hard to aim and most new players, just ask my wife, want something that will effect the entire screen without aiming at all. A strafer fits that description to a T. Besides, strafers are safer and far less item dependandt.
