gamble a poleaxe or pike and hope for the exceptional upgrade. Once that happens then its that spear/polearm + 3 chippies = new item with sockets. Then stuff in the sockets whatever you want. Playing on /p8, you shouldnt have a problem finding chippies in normal. But dont change difficulties if you have a good map for rerunning an area in norm.

So far I haven't really got problems so I'll just continue my journey I'm sure I'm gonna die soon now that I've said that....
