I have ran into these new Heralds and the terror zones feel engaging and fun currently. I decided to give the holy grail a go - finish the Chronicles or die trying.
Since I'm going for Chronicles and there are ingame items changing terror zones, I will not be messing with local time to cheese favorite TZs.

Lots of gear improvement to be made, I still rock more or less 90% of my nightmare act 1 gear.
Eventually I'll respec - either stay as fire but with higher strength (spirit monarch or stormshield or something) - or go for something different. My resists are nice, physical damage would kill me quickly, so I probably should go with maxblock later. Ring of fire spam keeps melee mobs away reliably, the only real danger seems to be ranged archers/javelin throwers.

Terrorized Far oasis/Maggot lair seems to be doable, no immunes.

Would have loved this small charm during the campaign, I had to go from 88 to 89 to be able to equip Natalya's boots, I was missing 2 strength. I still kept it, nice resist.

Got my favorite TZ: Stony tombs - which I would default back to in case the TZ was too hard. Also saw my first Herald: you get a notification that a Herald will appear, then a few minutes later you get another notification and a sound effect that it appeared somewhere. It had Thorns aura, which blazed through my mercenary, so I had to keep warp blading the mercenary back away.

Some more Chronicle updates and another Herald - this one had Thorns aura too, I wonder if that was just a coincidence.

Some more Chronicle lines. After the Eschutas drop from Diablo, now an Oculus - only DF to go. Maybe something for warlocks next time?

Found an ethereal Giant thresher, attempted to cube it just in case it turns out to be 3-4-5-6 sockets (hustle, insight/infinity, obedience, botd), but it only received 1 unfortunately.

Arcane sanctuary TZ was tough to crack - it wasn't dangerous or anything like that, but the goatmen have way too high fire resistance for the grind to be worth it. Reached level 90.

I couldn't beat this Herald, would have taken 15+ minutes, so I skipped him. I keep trying the different terror zones and see what sticks. Currently it's still mostly stony tombs + far oasis/maggot lair that makes the most sense.
