I did some more farming and spent a couple of hours researching how to best deal with ubers on a hc sorc. A few different cool options, but ended up watching a few Kano vids, where he basically does it with a lot less gear. I wanted to complete this once on sorc, and then lvl a pala to do future runs for sorc torch as I already have a bunch of gear for it (dracs, hoz etc) and could use another hfq, even larzuks as I was still undecided on how to treat sockets.
Anyway, plan was to first lure meph and have 15-20 maulers ready to smash. Because of the amount of maulers meph didn't spawn minions and I basically just had to avoid getting 1-tapped when tele stomping him. Worked out really great and meph was probably the easiest of the 3.
Then I lured baal out and captured all his minions in the ruins at the top of tristram. I respecced to lightning and summoned one of the spiders from ruined temple (and those other dungeons around upper kurast) - Spider just has to psn him, that lasts 4 min and will stop his regen. After psn hits, I swapped on a lower res wand to curse him and then used lightning to whittle him down, crescent moon was super nice here. Baal is a bitch and loves stealing mana, but went relatively well.
Dia was same plan as for baal, he was a bit easier to deal with, also had a pair of hotspurs to basically negate all fire dmg. All in all was a bit tedious, but fun as a new challenge! I did mess up a bit utilizing revives and almost ran out of spiders hehe.
and Lo and behold! What a glorious reward! I already was prepared to hunt for a bunch of keys, but with this lucky sorc hit, I guess I'm officially done with ubers and key farming! Will probably also scratch lvling a paladin, as time is a bit tight for that atm.
