There is probably some combination of setup and strategy that will keep him alive for baal and diablo but meph will almost certainly kill him.

You could proc fade with a treachery then switch it out for a high def e fort/stone,
proc enchant with obedience or demon limb to help guarentee hits
Switch wep out for something stupid fast with lots of ias/leech like ebotd to keep tapping off your life tap
Then some crazy res/ias helmet

The problem is he has no bloc n die

Was thinking something similar but maybe an absorption helm if meph does the most damage. There is the unique helm that absorbs light damage. Not sure what else could be done outside of what the post quoted mentions.

The absorb wouldnt work with mephs conviction. It's possible to negate mephs conviction with a high level conviction from a Paladin but meph will likely zap him down
