Just make another and keep the thread rolling. HC p8 is a big challenge compared to sc p1. You just need to adjust your expectations and play style a bit.

I like this idea so I have started a new character. Scooter Jr. and Jr. is right where his dad died. He has completed 10 countess runs and I will finish the rest of act one tonight. In ten runs he got 6 rals, 2 tals, tir, eth, and ith. I don't know if that's good or not but it seems odd to me. Jr. has not had the luck of his father and does not have very good gear but he is better where it counts...he's alive. His weapon sucks so I need to do something about that.

I found this 7% fire resist charm in the first monster I killed 10 feet from town. I never would have kept this before but after reading some walkthroughs I see the importance of small resist charms. This will probably stay with me for quite a while.



Is this a waste of a jewel for my merc's armor? I'm always afraid I'm going to waste a rune/jewel/gem so I save them and I never end up using them.

You should make steel rw in a weapon and 3 ral in the other hand, gonna make your game way easier =)

Thanks for that advice. I didn't know about steel. I might use that or the ral's but I don't think using both with concentrate works.
