Why would you not count gambled items? IMO that’s self found in a way.

May as well discount rws made in quest or cube socketed items, and you definitely shouldn't count gambled set or unique items.


I get that it's not explicitly a drop, but it is a game feature using your drops.



I guess I worded it wrong, both of these would count. Anything included in vanilla d2 as a legit means to accomplish the goal would count. When I said self found or dropped I just mean legit in game mechanics.

At least you won't need to create runewords like phoenix, last wish, pride, destruction or infinity on Vanilla Single Player

I’m thinking if this were to ever be attempted it would undoubtedly be done in plugy so it would include all ladder runewords. The point would be to have the longest hardest d2 speedrun possible. Which would be 100%ing the game. Beat every quest. Get to 99 and farm every single item(set, unique, rune and runeword).

Perfect, ethereal holy grail I imagine would be the longest speedrun (and practically impossible).
