Summoner - One of the easiest, because you have 30+ meat shields.
Elemental Druid - with decent luck, you'll be able to get merc to use lawbringer, everything after that is pretty cake.
Trapper - fire blast for LI and MB/CoS/Fade are busted af

which physical skill would you suggest to invest points in? I can see arguments for strafe, multi or guided in this case.

I've found the summon druid with werebear (shockwave) walk that I have completed and belarathon has completed and working at level 99, to be really fun.

My werebear had crushing blow gear and his had fireclaws gear.

I did this on a barb , ended up ripping in ancients way hell when BO wore off and i ran into a double pack of unqs with might/fana. Basically insta poofed. (I was half halfway into a bottle of vodka, don't reccomend.)

I went frenzy with 1 point in berserk. The hardest things for me to kill were zombies in hell and the zombie spawning sarcophagus in tombs. Also the mummies/ skellies in act 2 were brutal because of their revive crap. Had to pull the skellies 500 yards away with taunt and kill them that way.

Its definitely doable, but some parts took me literally ages to clear in hell. Manage your runes and save up an honor set and black set, and craft a pair of blood gloves asap (i saved up and to do 4 pairs after level 55 to try and get 20ias , got a pair on third roll but with lowest cb possible.) And craft am open wounds blood belt.

That's exactly the kind of horror story that discourages me from wanting to try. I'll take a build that has a more versatile toolkit to deal with situations like that, even if it comes along with a higher risk of dying.

Sounds like P8 just isn’t for you in all honesty

The part that discourages me isn't the P8 requirement, it's the full clear. Having to spend 8 hours in all the false tombs.

It’s inevitable in P8 until you grind 1,000’s of runs to get gear

without the full clear requirement, i could just get plenty of xp by spending time clearing areas that are suitable for my build. I could just run past a champion that happened to be immune to my 2 main elements, I wouldn't ever need a third element.

There has been people who have completed a WT without reruns. I wouldn't be able to do it, but some have.
