Coh stats:
+2 To All Skills = Close to useless
+200% Damage To Demons = Less than 300%ed from fort
+100% Damage To Undead = less than 300%ed from fort
8% Life Stolen Per Hit = Cool but with andyhat (or anyll hat) on you get enough ll already + fort %ed greaty increase your damage = more ll
+70% Enhanced Defense = Less than 200% from fort
+20 To Strength = useless af
Replenish Life +7 = Same as fort
All Resistances +65 = Mercs dont need that many res, except for when you encounter convic auras.
Damage Reduced By 8% = That is indeed great stat
25% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items = If you want to run mf badly with mercs, use enigma

When I wanted my merc to stay alive i gave him gbane + vamp gaze. Life leach + % dmg reduction + integer dmg reduction + magic dmg reduction. Socket with um for resists

For hdonk merc I run a Holy Freezer with eth Reaper’s Toll, Gulli helm socketed with Cham, and Treachery.

The chill from aura and slow from curse will greatly help both you and your merc’s survivability as all monsters will be moving like snails.

Treachery’s IAS means he’ll leech faster and proc Decrepify more often, and when Fade kicks in it’s boss.
