I always feel the safest on any sorceress simply because of teleport. Once you can teleport, you should really never die. I mean, you can simply teleport away from/around any danger.

Teleport can also have the opposite effect. For example teleporting right into a cursed extra fast cold enchanted mob in hell and being ded so fast you dont even know what happened. So even tho I think you are right you can just teleport from danger with a sorc but you can also run away from danger with any other character to. So sorc would most definitely not be the safest.
