As much as you can without inhibiting kill speed.

My SP blizz sorc is sitting at 530ish and clears all mf areas P8 quite easily. With the exception of throne and Baal where I do P3

Magic find has diminishing returns when it comes to actual mf vs effective mf
Just make sure you're above 200 mf and you're pretty much good. Everything else after this is just minor bonuses for uniques.

RUNE DROPS ARE NOT EFFECTED BY MF. Also means mf does not take away the chance of getting rune drops.
Rune drop rates are increased by player count in game. More players = higher chance of rune drops.

Super helpful, I'm at about 300ish now

I farm with ~450mf as my survivability, dmg and speed are all kept pretty high. If you're doing something that's more difficult, go less mf.
If you breeze through it, add more mf.

Speed is ultimately the most important thing. Just as long as your killing the most boss groups/bosses/superuniques as possbile in ilvl85+ areas.
