I have a band tattoo'd on my ring finger, Most times the tattoos that cross a bone is the most painful. (or atleast thats what i was told while i was in that shop)
The 1 covering majority of my upper left arm didnt hurt besides when they got to the out side part, but it was my first tattoo and i hated needles to start with, so i was probably just a pussy at that time..
I couldnt watch them do it but i could watch it in a mirror just fine.
