I have never played a wolf before and got absolutelly no clue about potentially good itemization
One or two hands weapons or ias breakpoints etc
Clueless as fuck which might make this more fun but also more challenging

Werewolf is dependant on weapon ias, not off-wep, so you'll need to focus on a fast base wep with ias. Fire claw might be the way to go, phys will be extremely difficult without any cb or very high end rares.

Yeah so you chose the class with the most specific weapon needs in the game...imbue some eth crystal swords once you get to hell and pray for a 300/40/2 soc.

Wolf is so slow. I did a wolf wt on ladder solo and literally felt like ages by the time I got to nightmare. Gl with this its prob one of the harder wt chars

The last wt I did was a titan 2h wolf, but without gear restrictions. Hell was still a challenge with a high roll upped ribby. It's doable, but you'll be in for a grind. Definitely tracking!

Last wt I finished was as Shaman
Playing pure Fire Druid on Hell was close to impossible, but with patience and some grinding it's doable, and in the end I finished Hell Baal.
Willing to spend some time grinding on this guy as well, hoping for decent upgrades followed by smoother clean.

I agree with the other people, it's probably 1 of the hardest melee chars. Fire claw would definitely be a big boost, some people has mentioned rabies for normal... I am currently in act 5 with a fury druid using wirts leg and the skill fury has added like 10 damage. I used heart of wolverine for AR and damage helps merc. Diablo will probably be ur hardest battle in normal just like any other melee char.

Which means I might just respec mine to fireclaws
